We are seeking an individual with significant commercial lending experience, 3-5 years or more preferred. The person selected for this position would have the opportunity take on a senior manager role. Our culture requires that each senior officer develop a certain level of respect within the organization in regards to their leadership abilities and technical abilities before being asked to join the Leadership Team. This person would manage a $10-20 million commercial portfolio and provide consultative lending advice to existing and new commercial clients as appropriate. The candidate will work alongside the current senior lender who is moving towards retirement in the next 4-5 years. Our current team consists of the Sr Lender who is also the CEO, Chairman and controlling shareholder, VP of credit admin, one commercial lender and two analysts and a support person. Our lenders provide innovative and workable alternatives to solve our client's financial problems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building positive customer relationships and growing the commercial loan and deposit base.
  • Interact positively with all team members, including Loan Committee and Leadership Team, to promote a healthy and efficient work environment.
  • Be able to provide insight and mentoring to other team members, as appropriate.
  • Promote the existing bank culture and coordinate an elite level customer experience for our customers.
  • Understand and live out the credit culture that has been established via the existing loan policy and culture document.
  • Possess general knowledge of more complex lending structures including SBA 7a and 504 loans. Have an understanding on the secondary market for commercial loans and be a familiar with participations purchased and sold.
  • Coordinate with internal and external examiners during loan related audits.
  • Work with Compliance Department to resolve policy or compliance discrepancies.
  • Be willing to accept a high level of responsibility regarding follow up to client and co-worker needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • High level of accuracy, focus and timeliness


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • High School Diploma or GED


  • Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and record keeping systems, FINPACK and Sageworks (Abrigo) experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations, credit policies, and issues effecting the local and national economies.
  • Three to five years' experience in lending, finance, or related field.

Expected Work Hours:
Monday through Friday: Start time around 8:00. End time around 5:00. Earlier start times or later end times may be necessary depending on assigned duties and workload.
