We are seeking an individual with at least three years of experience in agriculture lending to fill an opportunity in our Hartland, MN Branch. This position will provide agricultural lending services to clients, while building and maintaining strong relationships. Residency and community involvement within Freeborn County or surrounding area is preferred. Strong knowledge of financial statements, income tax analysis and FINPACK software is preferred. The individual will combine their business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each client's current financial position in making strong credit decisions. They will provide innovative and workable alternatives to solve problems the client faces in ongoing operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for servicing established and new Ag and Commercial customer relationships.
  • Work with a small/talented team in the Hartland Branch, generating new business for the bank.
  • Prepare financial/credit information and reports for presentation to loan committee, including analysis of variety of tax returns and financial records.
  • Promote and participate in bank culture and coordinate an elite level customer experience for our customers.
  • Continually review all loans and commitments to identify potential credit problems.
  • Work with established Ag Lending team to meet department-wide objectives, renew credit lines, and process new loan applications.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate preparation of loan committee presentations, annual reviews, and comments to files.
  • Coordinate with internal and external examiners during loan related audits.
  • Work with Compliance Department to resolve policy or compliance discrepancies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance in Branch required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and record keeping systems, FINPACK experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations, credit policies, and issues effecting the ag economy.
  • Three (3) years' experience in lending, finance, or related field.

Expected Work Hours:
Monday through Friday: Start time around 8:00. End time around 5:00. Earlier start times or later end times may be necessary depending on assigned duties and workload.
